Opportunity: Volunteers for Greater Atlanta Presbytery Meeting at St. Luke's


Responsibilities
St. Luke's will host the Greater Atlanta Presbytery meeting. Many volunteers are needed to help make this a wonderful event.

Opportunity: Meals for the Interfaith Outreach Home


Responsibilities
The Interfaith Outreach Home (IOH) provides transitional housing for homeless families. Parents take classes on the third Thursday of the month; St. Luke's provides and delivers a meal for approximately 10 adults and 15 children. Reimbursement for meals is budgeted. If you or your group can help, please see contact information below.
Schedule/Location
Volunteers needed for August 19, September 16 and November 18.

Cooking, delivery

One evening.

Opportunity: PHOTOGRAPHY POOL MEMBER
Responsibilities
Watch for requests from photographers from Shirley and others; sign up when your schedule coincides with events needing photos; use your camera or the church camera to take photos; forward resulting images to Shirley.
Schedule/Location
Determined by event, but most photos are taken just before or just after Sunday worship service.
Skills Needed
Experience taking photos helpful but not required.
Training Provided
Plan on spending a few minutes with Shirley if you would like to use the church camera.
Time Commitment
Sign-up as time permits. Seeking a pool of 10 members.

Opportunity: FACILITATOR, VISITOR/NEW MEMBER LIFE CYCLE WORK GROUP


Responsibilities
Facilitate meetings of Group which will assess current visitor/new member processes and develop a continuing process for interacting with visitors, encouraging SLPC membership, and engaging new and inactive members into the life of the Church.
Schedule/Location
Weekly meetings to begin in November 2009.
Skills Needed
Experience in strategic planning, group facilitation.
Training Provided

Time Commitment
1.5 hours per week for group meeting plus any prep time.

Opportunity: Bread for First Time Visitors


Responsibilities
Help provide fresh bread for first time visitors at the 8:30 and 11 am services. One-time or multi-time volunteers needed.

Every Sunday in Narthex of Chapel or Sanctuary

Visit to your local bakery, Panera, or homebaked goods.

Opportunity: Continental Breakfast


Responsibilities
Can your class, group or friends get together to furnish one Continental Breakfast on Sunday morning? ALl it takes to furnish our Continental Breakfast is some juice and about 300 pieces of goodies (bagel bites, donut holes or halves - be creative).
