Senior Ministry - OWLS 
OWLS (Older, Wiser, Loving Seniors) is the gathering of the older adults in our congregation. We have a variety of programs and events, generally one per month.
Unless otherwise noted, we meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Great Hall. We hope you will see this as an opportunity to meet some new friends, learn something new, and have a good time while doing it. So, if you're an Older Wiser Loving Senior, then come JOIN THE PARLIAMENT! (a flock of owls - or OWLS - is called a parliament!)
Tuesday, January 24, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Great Hall
Lunch $7 per person
Program: "Tasting Luncheon" with Joe Dabney local author of Low country and Appalachian cookbooks.
Sunday, February 26, provide a meal for the Druid Hills Men's Shelter.
We will fix a meal and take it. Ellen Massey is heading this up if you would like to help.
Tuesday, February 28, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Great Hall
Lunch: $7 per person
Program: Bingo Game Day
Tuesday, March 27, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Great Hall
Lunch: $7 per person
Program: Pizza and Palms Party. We will make reed crosses for the congregation of St. Luke's to have on Palm Sunday.
Tuesday, April 24, Road trip to Cartersville, GA, times to be determined
Lunch: cost for lunch at a local restaurant.
Program: See the Tellus Museum.
Tuesday, May 22, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Great Hall
Lunch: $7 per person
Program: Diane Rooks, Master Storyteller
Sunday, June 10, following the 11 a.m. worship service
Program: Annual end-of-program year luncheon will be held at a local restaurant. Lunch is on your own. Watch for details.
As always, a big part of our getting together is catching up and getting to know one another better, so your being part of the group only makes it more enjoyable. We hope to see you at all of these interesting and fun events!
