St. Luke's and its members support through monetary contributions and stewardship a number of international outreach programs.

Africa

Maji Mazuri is a social economic development program created in 1984 by Wanjiku Kironyo and based in Nairobi, Kenya.  The mission of Marji Mazuri is to help people escape form the bondage of poverty, ignorance and myth and become fully developed individuals.  The vision is to provide the foundation, education and support needed for the children, youth and families in Nairobi's slums to become self-sustaining.  For more information see:

Guatemala/Nicaragua

Alliance for International Reforestation (A.I.R.)
A.I.R. is a nonprofit, non-governmental program that assists local communities in Central America conserve their environment through reforestation, farming and education.  AIR works to develop self-sustaining environmental programs that can be managed and implemented by community groups, not outsiders.  They have formed 18 reforestation groups that plant more than 120,000 trees annually. Other programs include education in local schools and construction of fuel-efficient home ovens.

Honduras

Youth Honduras Mission
Honduras Outreach is a non-denominational, Christian organization dedicated to building life-changing relationships between the people of the Olancho department of Honduras and caring North Americans and other nationalities. Members from St. Luke's travel to Honduras to work on community projects that range from replacing earthen floors with cement to helping establish schools and health facilities.

Mexico

Through the organization of Constructores Para Cristo, CPC, participants of all ages travel to Piedras Negras, Mexico to build house for and share God's love with our Mexican brothers and sisters.  For more information see the CPC website:

Multinational

Rivers of the World (R.O.W.)
R.O.W. is an international exploration and development group based on Christian principles. It sends mission teams to remote areas to document living conditions and work with native peoples in health, education, and micro-economic development. We support their programs financially through the Outreach budget as well as Vacation Bible School projects and other drives for needed goods.
